Domino Data Lab has introduced Domino SCE QC, a new capability designed to automate and streamline quality control (QC) within statistical computing environments (SCE). Developed in collaboration with leading pharmaceutical partners, the solution enables biostatistics and statistical programming teams to maintain complete traceability and audit readiness directly within their existing analytical workflows.

The new feature integrates QC tracking into the SCE, allowing teams to validate analyses, document approvals, and ensure compliance in the same environment where scientific work is performed. The result is a faster, more transparent quality control process that supports regulatory requirements such as 21 CFR Part 11.

Automating Quality Control and Strengthening Compliance

Domino SCE QC allows life sciences organisations to create, assign, and approve deliverables directly within the SCE. Every dataset, code file, and output is automatically linked and version-controlled, eliminating duplicate effort while maintaining a verified audit trail. This centralised approach enables organisations to reduce operational risk, shorten review cycles, and simplify regulatory submissions.

Domino SCE QC represents the next step in modernising statistical programming,” said Nick Elprin, CEO and co-founder of Domino Data Lab. “It allows life sciences organisations to accelerate clinical analyses while maintaining full traceability and compliance, turning quality control into an integrated, automated part of the workflow.

Developed with Industry Collaboration

The new capability was developed in consultation with members of the SCE Coalition — a group of pharmaceutical and biotech companies working to define best practices for GxP-compliant analytics. Their input helped shape the solution to reflect real-world workflows and documentation standards, positioning Domino SCE QC as a next-generation framework for managing QC in clinical data environments.

Chris McSpiritt, Vice President of Life Sciences Strategy at Domino Data Lab, added: “Embedding quality oversight directly into the SCE helps teams eliminate manual tracking and gain full visibility into review progress. This shortens submission timelines and ensures organisations are fully prepared for audits.

Scaling Quality and Compliance Across the Enterprise

The launch of SCE QC builds on Domino’s broader strategy to unify infrastructure, workflows, and governance across research and clinical operations. By connecting development and validation processes, the company aims to support scalable, compliant analytics across the life sciences sector — from early-stage discovery to regulatory submission.
