Kivo has appointed former Veeva Systems executive Chris Xistris as Vice President of Services, strengthening its leadership team as demand grows for cloud-based regulatory, clinical and quality management platforms across the life sciences sector.
Xistris brings more than 25 years of experience spanning regulatory operations, clinical operations, quality systems and enterprise software transformation. Prior to joining Kivo, he spent more than a decade at Veeva Systems, most recently serving as Senior Director, R&D Services Engagement, where he supported adoption and transition planning across more than 600 customer engagements.
Kivo expands leadership team
In his new role, Xistris will oversee the continued development and scaling of Kivo’s services organisation as pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms and contract research organisations seek alternatives to legacy enterprise software platforms.
According to Kivo, his experience spans sponsor operations, consulting and enterprise software implementation, providing insight into the operational and technology challenges facing life sciences organisations.
Experience across regulatory and clinical operations
Xistris began his career working within regulatory and clinical operations teams at small and mid-sized biotechnology companies. His work included trial master file management, investigational drug submission management and the implementation of content and information management systems.
He later moved into consulting, supporting organisations with regulatory operations infrastructure, business process improvement and workflow modernisation initiatives.
Focus on AI-driven life sciences operations
The appointment comes as life sciences organisations continue to explore artificial intelligence, automation and cloud-based technologies to streamline regulatory, clinical and quality processes.
Kivo recently introduced Headless GxP™, an open architecture designed to support the use of agentic AI across regulatory, clinical and quality workflows. The company said the platform aims to help organisations standardise processes, improve collaboration and maintain compliance across drug development activities.
